I'm a sucker for a romance novel. Not the cheesy ones, mind you. Good ones, with a great plot, great characters that are in depth and flawed and work throught their issues. That's why I review books, so I can get them for free and get to tell other people what I think. My favorite books have the heroes as tough, no-nonsense types - preferably cops. Military will do in a pinch, or bodyguard. But you get the type I mean.
So, right now I have a book with a sexy cop as the hero. I'm so excited! My husband on the other hand tells me last night I need to quit reading these books with sexy cops as the hero because...welllll....yeah, right. I just tease him and ask him if he can go put on his uniform (he's not working). I really love him in uniform, too. He's the sexy cop for me and it doesn't hurt to be married to your dream hero either. That is definitely a perk!
Some of my all-time favorite books with cops as the hero are: Rachel Gibson's TRUE CONFESSIONS, and IT MUST BE LOVE, Linda Howard's MR. PERFECT, Nora Robert's HIDDEN RICHES among many more. Then there is the military heroes of Suzanne Brockmann's. This new one has the same feel to it that Rachel Gibson's books do - I will write a review when I'm finished. Stay tuned!
Meanwhile, happy reading!
